I am a freelance artist specializing in book covers, album covers, logos, as well as other forms of graphic arts. My artwork takes the best of my inspirations and infuses my own personal experiences. My work usually consists of vibrant action sequences that draws the eye to constant movement. Comparable to video game or of film concept art, my artwork uses images of fantasy to create a dreamlike image. I use all types of media, but charcoal and color pencils are the media of choice. Recently, however, my artwork has taken a digital approach with images being painted in software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

Aspiring author Winnie Jackson has written a fictional “coming of age” novel about a a young girl struggling to to return to a life of normalcy after her parent’s divorce. This cover art was illustrated using Prismacolor pastels and Adobe Photoshop.

This album art was inspired by flashy neons made popular in the 1980’s. The client’s vision was to create different images for each of her songs. This one was one of my favorites. I proceeded to cut her out of her background in Photoshop and placed her in a plain black background. Black makes colors pop more efficiently than white. I then duplicated her, lowered the opacity, and used different fill colors on each layer. I placed these layers behind her creating a 3D shadowed affect. I then placed her name filtered with a bright wavelength design. The name of the song was placed on the top left corner with a nice funky font imported in Photoshop.
